The ROLLER team had the pleasure of attending the 5th annual Competitive Socialising: The Power of Play Awards at the Lighthouse Theatre in London. Co-hosted by Inntegra and Home Leisure Direct, this exciting event brought together over 1,000 industry professionals to explore the dynamic world of competitive socialising.
A day filled with insight and innovation
Kicking off at 10:30 AM, the event offered a full program of thought-provoking talks and panels. Graham Cook, Chairman of Gamechangers Organisation, opened the day with a welcome and overview that set the tone for an inspiring lineup of sessions.
Next, Molly Davis from BII explored “The Power of Play in Pubs,” diving into how games are transforming traditional pub settings. Other presentations included Oliver Raison of F1 Arcade sharing insights into the evolution of arcade experiences, and Roger Bunce and Jade Craig from Home Leisure Direct and Gamechangers Organisation presenting on "Changing the Game," emphasizing the importance of innovation in the sector.
Afternoon sessions tackled a range of hot topics, from customer journey mapping to data-driven hospitality strategies, and the growing diversification of pub offerings. Panels featured experts from Booked It, Lucky Voice, The Cube, Lane7, Airship, Toggle, and Mitchells & Butlers, delivering practical strategies and insights that attendees could take back to their venues.
Hands-on experience with cutting-edge products
The day wasn’t just about ideas, it was about interaction. With over 30 competitive socialising products on display, attendees had the chance to try out the latest in entertainment tech, thanks to Home Leisure Direct. From augmented reality darts to race car simulators and customizable air hockey tables, it was a hands-on showcase of the innovations transforming the entertainment landscape.
Networking and celebration
The evening transitioned into a vibrant celebration, featuring live DJs, darts competitions, and a stage-hosted pub quiz. Attendees enjoyed hands-on access to gaming tech, trendy drinks, delicious food offerings, and entertainment.
The highlight of the evening was the Competitive Socialising Awards 2025, which recognized excellence across ten categories, including "Best Activity" and "Tastiest Menu.
Another special moment during the evening was Inntegra's 10th birthday celebration. For a decade, Inntegra has brought operators and suppliers together through high-value events, and this celebration marked a meaningful milestone in their journey.
Supporting a worthy cause
In keeping with the event's commitment to social responsibility, all proceeds from operator ticket sales were donated to the mental health charity MIND. Last year, over £2,500 was raised, and this year, the goal was to surpass that amount, supporting mental health services for those in need.
