This October, the World Waterpark Association hosted its annual WWA Show at the Paris Las Vegas, and the ROLLER team was thrilled to be part of it.
Event recap
The WWA Show brought together waterpark operators, developers, suppliers, and enthusiasts from around the world for a packed few days of connection, learning, and inspiration. The main trade show ran October 7–8, with education and certification programs taking place around it.
Attendees enjoyed:
- A trade show floor spanning roughly 100,000 square feet of waterpark products and services
- Dozens of education sessions covering guest experience, safety, operations, F&B, and leadership
- Hands-on workshops and certification programs for operators of every size
- Networking opportunities and industry recognition events that brought the community closer together
Sessions that stood out
A few sessions caught our attention this year, each tackling a different part of what makes the modern waterpark experience work.
The First 10 Minutes: Why The Guest Experience Starts Before The Gate focused on the critical first impressions a guest forms before they even walk through the gate, from the parking lot to the queue.
Creating Elevated Guest Experiences With Luxury Service Training explored how applying luxury hospitality principles to frontline teams can shape the guest experience at waterparks.
Increase Revenue By Re-Engaging Previous Guests looked at the untapped opportunity sitting in your existing guest database, and how to turn one-time visitors into repeat guests.
Pre-show workshops also dug into F&B profitability from every angle, from industry trends and kitchen operations to collaboration between F&B and group sales. On the operations side, dedicated sessions covered inspections, ride capacity, safety standards, maintenance costs, crisis communications, and team leadership. There was something practical for every corner of a waterpark business.
The ROLLER team at WWA
Jerome Miles (BDR, Attractions), Teo Cruz (Training and Implementation Manager), and Andrew Kee (Enterprise Account Executive) represented ROLLER at the show, catching up with existing customers and getting to know new operators across the industry.
As always, the best part of the week was the conversations. Hearing what's working, what isn't, and where the industry is headed is what makes WWA such a valuable event for us.
Until next time
The waterpark community has a special energy about it, and WWA 2026 was a great reminder of that. We're grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared their story, or took a few minutes to chat about where things are going.
If you missed us at WWA this year, we'd love to show you how ROLLER can help your park streamline operations, grow revenue, and deliver seamless guest experiences.
