How Stoke Factory Used ROLLER Capital to Expand Faster
When Tony Finn, Chief Stoke Officer at The Stoke Factory at Texas Ski Ranch, launched the business in 2025, his goal was never to operate just another water park. It was to transform an already iconic destination into a hub for outdoor adventure.
"I've been in the industry for a long time," Tony says. "I previously owned Liquid Force, and after selling the company, an opportunity came up to expand the offerings and start a cool new brand. So, we started The Stoke Factory at Texas Ski Ranch! We want to spread joy, happiness, STOKE and adventure!”
While Texas Ski Ranch has been a destination for wakeboarding for more than 25 years, Stoke Factory enhanced the experience with a world class aquapark and floating cabanas, and a food and beverage truck. Stoke Factory also expanded on the already successful programs, like kids camps.
Finding the Right Partner
As Stoke Factory grew, the team realized they had outgrown their previous software.
"We had software that we really didn't like," Tony says. "We started searching and found ROLLER. You guys seemed like a great fit, and being based in Austin made a difference. It's nice to work with people you can actually meet."
That relationship eventually introduced the team to ROLLER Capital.
Fueling Rapid Growth
Unlike many seasonal attractions that use financing to bridge slower months, Stoke Factory had a different challenge.
"We're growing like crazy," Tony says. "We're hiring people, buying new equipment, and expanding the business. All of that takes capital."
Rather than delaying new investments, ROLLER Capital gave the team the flexibility to move faster.
"We were excited to work with ROLLER to help us expand."
The funding helped Stoke Factory invest in new attractions for its aqua park, including floating AquaBanas, premium cabanas that sit directly on the water.
"They've been really popular," Tony says. "Because we were able to get the ROLLER Capital loan, we added the AquaBanas, and they're renting really well."
Fast Funding Without the Friction
Although Stoke Factory had access to investors and other financing options, convenience made ROLLER Capital stand out.
"The application was super easy," Tony says. "The approval process was easy, the money came through quickly, and everything went smoothly."
Repayments have also been simple to manage.
"We can track everything easily. The repayments come straight out of our daily payment processing, so it's very straightforward."
Supporting Continued Expansion
For Tony, the biggest impact of ROLLER Capital can be summed up in one word: Expansion. "It gave us the opportunity to expand our offerings and bring in additional revenue."
Asked what he would tell another operator considering ROLLER Capital, Tony keeps it simple.
"You should always look at all your options, but if you need short- or medium-term capital to grow your business, it's a great option. It's easy, the repayments are straightforward, and you're working with people you know."
As Stoke Factory continues to grow, Tony doesn't hesitate when asked whether he'd use ROLLER Capital again. "Absolutely."
